pods in a lumina/monte carlo??

anyone ever make door pods over the stock speaker location in these cars...it looks pretty easy but just wanna see if anyone has done it.

my '98 lumina ls has the foot e-brake on the drivers side real close to the door, it looks like an easy job on the passenger side but to make a pod portruding off the drivers door may not be that simple with the placement of that brake.
