Ok, please dont take this wrong but its fairly obvious that you need to now take this to someone who is qualified to do this. By qualified i just mean someone who knows what they are doing. You can mess lots of things up by playin around with the electrical system on a w body...

was thinking about it but i dont know how much they would charge me at like abc warehouse, circuit city,etc.....

dont what them to charge me the full price when i already took the whole dash apart

Should be about 50 if you got everything. Small price to pay for piece of mind.

They might charge you more to sort it out and most likely wont touch it since you already started taking it apart. Try a local install shop....

dude its probably your ground. the black wire. make sure its grounded well

You do not need to run a separate ign on a MET 70-2001.

GM Class II Databus was first instituted on the 2001 Alero. His 99 is safe.

They prolly will charge you full price because they are doing the install and having to deal with those tiny wires. Hell, I would.

It is possible your car doesnt have a switched 12v. My car didnt I tapped into my ignition and fused that wire instead of connecting the one on the harness(the one on the harness didnt work because the factory harness in my alero doesn't have a switched 12v in it). GM is so difficult with the Class II databus :|

I AGREE! I had the same problem, it sucked. oh well, got it workin so I hopefully won't have to worry about it again.
