My current system that I have in my truck is 4 JBL Stage3 607CF 6.5 Component speakers in the door and 2 JL Audio W1v310s all powered by a JL Audio RD9005. The box is easily removable, so Im bouncing around the idea of having a second sub, lets say maybe a single 12 in a ported box or sealed, as the W1s are in a sealed box. What would be a good second sub to be able to switch out with the 2 10s?

it shouldnt matter right if its a single sub? Will it make a difference in sound? Essentially its the same amount of power be used, its just on one hand between 2 speakers and then 1 speaker. I think it was wired down to 2 ohms. Look forward to any input you guys can give.

Same power. Less cone area. $700 subwoofer + proper built box + swapping out boxes for very little to no gain. Wouldn't be worth it IMO.

man I was sure a more powerful sub would show some difference versus 2 less powered and smaller size.
