Plexiglass/Lexan Strength

I'm thinking of covering the top of an 12L7 sub enclosure with Plexi or Lexan. What thickess should i use?

the size would be 16"x14"

1/2" would be the thinest I would use.

Personally, I like to use 3/4." Simply for the reason that you can just double baffle it, and it will be perfectly flush when finished. I have quite a bit of 3/4" if you need some....
