Ok,

I think this is what I am going with ($3k budget). Please let me know what I should change and WHERE i can buy it online.

Will the HU support being just grounded?

Head: Clarion VRX755VD

Sattelite: Clarion SIRCL1

Fronts: JL Audio XR653-CSi

Rears (want my backfill!): JL Audio TR650-CSI

Amp: Alpine MRV-F545

Subs/Amp (already own): 2 12" eD "e" originals running off a lanzar with 1200rms @1ohm

After all this, I think I still have 1.2k left in the budget- improvements?

imo - monitor HU's are rediclious. and satalite radio sucks real bad. as for the 653csi's, 3 way frontstage is cool, but if i were gonna go with a 3 way, id go active and build the set DIY style. components for the rear is just rediclious. just get coaxials. love the amp, but if you are gonna go all out with that sucker, get an alpine deck so you can controll everything through it (gain, bassboost, all the filters, ect - like the Alpine CDA-9855, it has the amplifier link).

the rest of the money can go to some sound deadening and maybe some fiberglass materials? i really dont like the satalite or the hu. and if i was spending that kind of money on a 3way frontstage, id build it myself.

also if you havent already upgrade the electrical system first and formost. alt, battery, and wiring.

Right now I have a BOSE system (Mercedes CLK) so I get no highs or lows. So I will be replacing everything including wiring. I have room for 2 speakers in door and one in column that I would like to utilize. The rest is fair game. I'm not married to any of it.

My battery is in the trunk

HU req are: Play DVD/MP3/Video Out/Sirius/Capable of being grounded - Nav option is big a plus but not mandatory

I would really appreciate more guidance (links) to stuff I ca purchase without exceeding my budget and sounding as clean as possible.

Also, any awesome Seattle area installers?

im a newb but as far as headunit, i like alpine better

also spend some money on sound deadening and the big 3.

Also rethink the JL speakers. I was set on getting some too but then I listened to them and they didnt do much for me. Think about some less mainstream brands like RE, CDT, Diamond Audio, and DLS. According to these boards they are a lot better speaker for your money.

welll if you have all that xtra money to spend, i would mos def recccomend the usamps AX Line. http://www.usamps.com.

as for the components, PM ologyaudio (i think i spelled it okay) sounds like hes got some good stuff. for the rears, i would stick to MAXIMUM 4" if you want rear fill.

i would think so. i have rainbow slc 265s and they are farily nice. i would get AT LEAST contours if you can afford b/c the tweeter is sweeter.

Thats what I'm hearing too- i think the hardest part will be finding a quality installer in the Seattle area. Stupid car toys making the good places go out of business..
