So like so many people who plan forever to build a new system I still haven't finished it. We have been spending so much time away from home that I just can't seem to get working on it and it's been quite a while since I posted here. If anyone remembers I was planning on installing 2 BTL 18s. I still like this idea but I keep doing the math over and over and it seems I most likely don't have the room to get the full potential out of these. I think the most I can come up with is 11 cubes and even at that I still dont' know where to put my amps. I have the two Autotek MM4000s and I was wondering what may work for me with this power? 8000 watts aint no joke. What about 4 BTL 12s in 10 cubes @ 30hz? What about another speaker(s) that can handle the power. I want to run both amps because I like the idea of 8000 vice 4000 watts. Power will most likely end up being Irragi 300 and Optima or Kinetic. I know the Blazer will get loud so I want to push it to the max. Anyone have any ideas on how to use 10 cubes, 8000 watts, and 1 - 2 thousand dollars?

I dont' want to wall off my truck. I paid a lot of money for it and want to keep everything behind the 2nd row. How would the 18s be in 10 cubes? I feel liek I'd be choking them to death. Meade's 18s are in 5 each IIRC but what do you think? Could 4 12s in 10 cubes get louder than 2 18s in too small of a 10 cube box?

I mean I feel for the simple reason on the 18s having more cone area to be a better choice....I think that 5 cu ft for an 18 would be better than 2.5 cu ft for per 12....

hopefully some others will chime in as well to give you their opinion

Maybe if I tune a little higher. Like 36 or 37 hz. I could probably save a cube in port length. Losing low end though. UGHHH, why didn't I buy the Suburban???? Dammit.
I think with you at 36-38 tuning for the btl should be fine....from what I read they are low end monsters

once again I have no direct experience with the driver itself

I'm sure everyone has already seen them but the new BTLs are on Meade's forum. What if I invert the two 18s to save a cube or so? Does anyone liek the idea of two of the new ones inverted?
