this is really ****ing pissing me off. I cant take this bullshit anylonger, i have been busting my balls trying to get the noise out of my subs for a week. Let me break this down for you all and maybe you can help before i bite someones head off. i paid $190 for a 750 watt amp (150wrm) and two 12'' subs 500 watt. (150wrm)basical a peice of shit , yes i know. i am 16 i wanted something that would bump alittle.Anyways I have an 89 saab(the car) and i am poor if you cant tell by now, so i dont have a head unit, i have the radio that came with the car(no rca outputs) so i bypassed the radio and used something called high level input to get my subs to even kick on.My REM is hooked up to my power wire to get my amp to turn on , only way i knew how to do it since i bypassed the radio. So i finally get done (after 3 days) and all i can hear is this humming coming out of the subs,at some rear point you can hear the music. At first i thought i was engine noise but when i put my REM in my power wire (without the car on) i still hear the lound *** hummm, What can i do i am completly out of ideas, please for the love of god tell me how to fix this. ANy info is great. thanks

i'd take the remote off the power wire for one, you'd more than likely have a dead battery one morning when you get up. hook it up to (tap into)a switched source, such as the cig lighter. you could also put a toggle switch or rocker switch or switch of some sort so you could turn the amp on/off. im assuming you mean you hooked up the end that isn't in the amp to the power wire. if you ran the remote and power wire into the same port on the amp, thats probably your problem. there should be seperate terminals on the amp for the remote and power wires. you may also want to check your hi-level to make sure that you have the red(pos) hooked to a pos speaker wire, and the black(neg) hooked to a neg speaker wire. just check all your connections and see if everything is hooked up right.
