please help with ohm talk

ok i have a audiobahn A8000t amp...rated at 400rms at 4 ohms and 800 rms at 2 ohms... im looking to either get a kicker 12"L5 or a Alpine Type R 12".... i wanna run my amp at 2 ohms to get the most out of it.... do i buy a 2 ohm sub or a 4 ohm sub.... please reply asap...im a beginner

for maximum power for that amp is at 2 ohm MONO so you would need a dual 4 ohm sub, wire it in parallel for a 2 ohm mono load. Thay are on ebay for as low as 94.00 bucks for the alpine type R. Hope this helps

If you dont already have that amp, I would suggest you pick something else...

But yes, would would need one single DVC 4 ohm sub, or two DVC 2 ohm subs to come up with a final load of 2 ohms.
