Yeah the amp alone should be on at least a 4 gauge power/ground.
Looks like you've got some work ahead of you to get that fixed.
I would start by pulling the speakers out and wiring them to the amp correctly. Do a 4 gauge power and ground to the amp. Then you'll know if the amp actually works or not.
If that amp works when it's wired and powered/grounded correctly. Then it's just a matter of determining if it can at least power the sub or your other speakers without shutting off. And then you could just get another amp to run either the sub or other speakers. But I'm still betting it was never strong enough to power all those speakers and subs.
Post those model numbers whenever you have a chance and we can tell you what that amp is capable of running (assuming it's not dead from being abused for god knows how long).
