Please help with a subsonic filter

Getting the Avionixx 800.2 on the nine.1 deal, hopefully arriving tomorrow!! Anyways i know it dosent come with a subsonic filter, so i have some questions, and yes i did use the search button on a few audio sites actually and came up with a few answers but not all so.....Running a HC d2 ported to 35 hertz. What would be the "optimal" frequency that i could set a subsonic filter too, 30, 35???? Also I saw some feedback on Fmods and some of it sorta turned me off to them so, are there any other brands out there that will get the job done without "breaking the bank" if you will(like $50-60 max) and do i have any other options???

yeah I heard the slope was only like 6db or something and that they didn't work well. I don't know if it is true.

well if u coughed up some more $ u could get a xover w/ a sub. filter. I think there's something called a Bass Cube as well.....i think its made by PG that has a subsonic filter. not sure tho
