HI, i just bought a new alpine 9805 deck and an pioneer gm-x972 with 2 12 vegas. It was all working till i put the new deck and amp in. Now i only get sound through the subs. MY door and rear speakers dont do anything. I thought it might be the amp because it has a place to wire the car speakers and the subs or main speakers which i thought was strange to have both. Or would it be some thing to adjust on the deck? i tried eveything i could thing of. please help me. erik

your subs are runnning off the amp and the speakers are run off the head unit amp right? So it sounds like you may have disconnected some of the speakers from the back of the head unit. But if the amp has channels built in for the speakers, you might as well run rca's back to the amp and then speaker wire out to the speakers in the doors......knowing a litttle more about your system would help, ie what kind of deck and amp are we talking about?

i know that model very well, actually, i have the gm-x972. was going to get the 9805, but nah. have you read the manual? are you sure that there is not an internal amp that you might have to turn on in the deck? a speaker wire may also be grounding itself to the body, causing for the no noise in the speakers.

i have read the whole manual at work i saw that when an external amp is hooked up it turns of the internal for clearer signal. I thought it was figured out. I turn the internal amp on and still nothing. I did everything else i could in the manual but nothing. I will try rewiring everything to see if thats it. Otherwise i dont know what to do. thanks for the help erik

ill let ya know what happens
