Hey there, I'm having a bit of a situation. I took my system out of my 2006 truck and put it in my 2004. Upon transferring, I'm having troubles with my components.

There is a problem between my Avic Z1 (head unit) and my JL Audio 300/4 (amp).

Aside from the engine noise which I can't get rid of, the speakers sound like they are underwater and only about half of the vocals are playing.

I thought maybe it was my wiring or possibly the crossovers so I plugged a 5 x 7 directly into one of the cannels on the amp. I got the same result. I even changed the RCA's to see if they were bad and its the same. Any Suggestions?

Its possible that the switch for Low pass or Hi pass got changed. If your crossover is set say for Low Pass at 80 Khz then it would sound like that.
