Ok, I have two JL Audio 12w6's. I'm looking for a nice amp. Each sub has available 6 ohms. PLEASE FIND ME A NICE AMP! Money is no worry.

I've been looking at the 500/1 by JL Audio. I know its a 1 channel amp, but are they good to bridge so I can run about 250 to each sub? HELP ME OUT GUYS!

Are they DVC 6ohm, or SVC 6ohm? I'm guessing DVC 6.

Just so you all know...we're looking for an amp that pushes about 250-300 watts per sub, keep in mind - this is a 1.5ohm load.

what about if it's rated at 300@4ohm hehe j/k. i'd just get the jl 500/1

can I ask why we dont look for a stronger amp, I mean 250 is not much for those subs from what I have seen, plus I feel the 500/1 is a decent amp but way over priced for its performance, clean but not worth the loot,

 

so why not go with something like the kicker kx 400.1 does well over 400 @ 2 ohms so I think it would be a good match, and it is more fairly priced

I would look at a Cadence or I know you said money is no issue, but I have to believe if you can save some it would be good right? Check out the Planet Audio REM2400 theZeb.com has on closeout. It is rated at 400*2 @ 2ohms, and I know those amps are stable to 1 ohm and less. They are quite efficient as well. 199 shipped.

ps - I had W6's for almost 5 years and they never gave out on me running about 425 watts to each.

Thanks for all of your guys help. I found a new amp im going to look into. Maybe you guys could help me out. What do you know about the Phoenix Gold Titanium 600.2 amp? I've heard good stuff about them, but I want to know what you guys think of it. Post what you know.

from my experience all of the titanium line has been great amps fo rth money, very strong/ underratted/ clean never heard ot seen complaints about them yet, the 120o.1 has been great for a friend of mine, even though thats way more power then you need, hope that helps
