Hi guys i own a clarion pxw1552 DVC, 15",each coil is 4ohms, total power of 750rms, 1500 max power.

those are the specs:

Fs=23.28Hz

Qms=5.927

Vas in(L)=193.07

Qes=0.6018

Qts=0.546

Vd=0.21ft^3

Xmax=12.5mm

the supplier catalogue is saying that a vented box should have a net Vb=3.5ft^3 and a Vent dimension of: 4" ID and 7" long.

Is it true?? isnt it a very small enclosure for that 15" sub?

i used to have my 15" RE SX in a 3.5...then went smaller, worked well for me

for that sub prob perfect.. I'd even do 3 to 3.5 net

Hi, can u please tell me if my port dimension will be OK?

the supplier catalogue is saying that a vented box should have a net Vb=3.5ft^3 and a Vent dimension of: 4" ID and 7" long, port area is OK?

I used online calculators and found out that with such port dimensions=> my tuning freq is around 30Hz, but the calculators suggested that the minimum port diameter for the 30Hz tuning freq must be 7 inches. is it true? so i will have port noise....? thx

WinISD says 4x7.6 for 30hz so I would say that should be fine.

Just round all of the port edges to keep from having port noise.
