PLEASE HELP: Cd burner issues

im using nero 6 to burn cd and mp3 and stuff, it been working fine until lately. I got to try and burn a cd and it just doesnt go, it burns like 2 or 3 tracks and then just freezes. It says failed "reset has occured" and something about "exactlink acctivated" I have have a notebook and its doing the same thing in the internal drive and my external dvd burner drive. been through like 15 disc trying different things. Any help would be great thanks

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the program ...

tried that, and another thing is i tried other burn programs and it did the same thing, is there anything i could have done to screw up both drives at the same time?

It could be that the cds you are trying to burn to are shitty

My cousin had the same problem with his computer about a month ago he ended up having to reformat. He was using Nero 6 and it just started failing on him, we uninstaled it reinstalled it, removed it put nero 7, put roxio 8.5 nothing worked. He reformated everything was fine.

damn, i was hoping i didnt have to reformat, i was just getting everything running the way i wanted till now
