Please Give Advice on New System Layout for my 335i coupe

im not so sure on that amp, if your not wanting to spend a lot, pick up a mb quart dsc 1500.1 or onx 1500.1

both of those will give you all the power you want, and will probably be more efficient than that us.

the way they rate their amp just bugs me

Continuous Power at 1ohm (Mono) 1301- Up

Continuous Power at 2ohm (Mono) 1001-1300

Continuous Power at 4ohm (Mono) 601-800

gives no idea t what voltage it does its power at and i have never seen an amp rated at x watts and up.

caraudiomag.com said that the merlin did over 1500.1 when tested with 12.5 volts and wired down to 1 ohm. Would you pick the cadence amp or us amps its looking like it will either power 2 kicker cvx with a sensitivity of 91.6 or maybe the one of the cadence daytonas if someone can sway me that way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I have a MBQ DSC1501.D and its a very efficient amp. I'm running it on a 105AH deep cycle (standard type) and it will run for a few Hours without needing a charge... not dropping below 12.1V. Granted, I'm not pushing it real hard but it still sips power compared to most other amps. The MMAts is up around 86%, and I think the MBQ is down around 79%. I haven't seen the specs in a few months so I'd have to dig them up to check

not really worried about the money more worried about the efficiency of these amps.....anything on the level of the cadence or us merlin ? How efficient and does the cadence do the rated ?

sorry lost track of what power you were wanting to run

either the 2000.05 or the .1 will both be more efficient than the merlin,

the only difference in the amps is that 1 does the power at .5 ohm and the other does it at 1 ohm, most of the mmats are .25 ohms burp stable and .5 ohm daily as well.

and i have never seen one not do more than rated power.

first of the dsc doesnt sip power especilly at 1 ohm, bu it is a very nice amp, i loved mine. ran it down to .5 ohm and it never gave me a problem.
there are a lot more efficient amps but not for the money
Maybe not at 1 ohm, but at 2 ohms, it sips power IMHO. If I can run it off a battery for hours, no alternator/charger.....that's "sipping" IMHO.

I agree, there are more efficient amps, but not for the money. The MMats would be a good choice.

i never ran mine above 1 0hm so i really cant say about it a 2, not to mention i never run my stuff with the car off, i like my equipment and dont like to risk destroying it.

do these amps and there current draw or there idle power consumption go along with the fuse rating or is that...... ? I am just trying too see if the class d amps with larger fuses will draw out a more idle current . Any opinions on the cadence compared to the merlin and the mmats i am looking for something over 1500w rms a class d amp that will not have any electrical issue running after the wire upgrades

the fuses are usually a little higher than the amount of current that it will draw.

you have to watch that logic though, a lot of the larger class d's dont have built in fuses, the rely on inline fuses in the power wire/wires

and just so i dont have to read through everything what are you upgrading wire wise?
