I am currently rebuilding my Alpine system, and I have a question.

Here's my setup:

CDA 9887

Type X 177R 6.5 components (17 Pro)

Type R 6x9 coax

PDX 4.100

(2) SWX 1242D (Type X 12's)

(2) PDX 1.1000

Kole 8.0 farad capacitor

Here's the question:

(1) 12" type x with a pdx 1.1000 - Making a total of 3 12's

or

(2) 10" type x with (2) pdx 1.600 - Making a toal of 2 12's and 2 10's

This will be in a custom fiber box so quick response's will be apreciated!

I've heard that type X's like 1000w. I think you will be fine with one 12" on a 1.1000.

2 of them off 1200w would be severely underpowering them.

In the substage. Having 10's 0r 12's in the back and 6.5's up front is one thing, having 10's AND 12's in the back at the same time is another.

You're obviously looking to get loud. Why don't you just get a beefy 15 or 18, put it in a ported box, and throw 2kw at it.

Im not sure if a 18 would fit in my car properly. I only did the 12's because my step pops introduced me to Alpine and I have been a fan ever since. I know they are hit of miss, but I like their new items
