get a blueray player if you really want one

i have both, really only use the PS3 now, bluray FTW and few games here n there

both have good media streaming, if you have media center computer, xbox will stream recorded tv shows, PS3 might do it too, never tried, but for music streaming, both do well

i say PS3 just for bluray part

Eh, 360.

PS3 doesn't have as many exclusives as the 360 as of now. The exclusives the PS3 has are amazing, don't get me wrong. But when you have quantity and quality, there's no contest.

I own both and prefer the 360 but if you want a console that you will still be getting great new games for 3-4 years down the road then the PS3 is your only option. That's the one good thing about Sony's 10 year plan. They make sure you get your money's worth out of the console. And to the guy saying the RROD's are fixed with the newer Xbox's that's not the case alot of people with newer consoles got RROD with the release of GOW2. But for the OP, if you want a console with alot of great games released now and more to come then get the Xbox 360 but if you want a console that has some great games now and will have even more great games still being released for it years down the road then go for the PS3.

My question was really, how many more good games are available on the 360 and not on the PS3? Only ones I can think of is Halo and Gears of War.

XBOX360. All the games I've played on PS3 graphically looked muddy and washed out (Fallout 3, GTA4, etc.) Online community is much better. Just my 2 cents.
Also, the "red ring" hardware issue has been fixed by Microsoft for over a year. If you have a new model with the HMDI out, red ring won't happen. They say the PS3 actually has MORE hardware failures compared to PS3 since the fix.

must be a problem on your end, my ps3 and my 360 both look pretty similar, with the exception of games that were ported from one system to the other on my 60" 1080p screen
