Playstation3 or Xbox?

i bought my PS3 and im sad to say i dont play much games with it. i find myself watching more blu-ray movies //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

Xbox 360 has plenty of good games available though.

They both have advantages and disadvantages. I bought a 360 because I like the controller a lot more than the Dual Shock, I honestly have never liked the Dual Shock, just not comfortable to me and also because I prefer the exclusives that the 360 has to those that the PS3 has. However I do wish the 360 had Blu Ray and had better hard drive solutions liek the PS3 has. As for graphics, it's pretty much dead even. Like I said, I got a 360 but either should serve you well.

Xbox has a hella nice upcoming lineup.

And XBL is a whopping 4.00 a month, if you can't afford that then you shouldn't have a 360. Not to mention how much better XBL is than PSN.

I think MS made a great call with XBL being able to stream via Netflix. This is the future of HD.

I got a PS3 mainly because I got it cheap and they seem to have less hardware issues and you don't have to deal with MS douchebags.

However I will say XBL > Sony Playstation Store.

I've had both...they are pretty even but i like the ps3 better...especially because of the bluray. i'd rather the 360 controller and 360 has more good games as of now though. i sold the 360 to buy my ps3...but honestly the best thing to do is buy both. I'm saving up to get another 360 to have both.

your an idiot - every major sports game since the first Madden has gone multiplatform and just because xbox has Halo doesn't mean it's the only console with FPS

while that is true, they did improve the controller a lot. The original xbox controller sucked the 360 is significantly smaller. But I still prefer the dualshock design.

Take a look at the few exclusives for each console and weigh them against each other. If you have or are planning on getting a high def TV then yes I would definitely recommend the PS3.

PS3's online is free and the hard drives are easily upgradable (just a regular laptop drive) while the 360 forces you to buy specific 360 HDDs. Also PS3 lets you install Linux if your into that...

XBOX360. All the games I've played on PS3 graphically looked muddy and washed out (Fallout 3, GTA4, etc.) Online community is much better. Just my 2 cents.

Also, the "red ring" hardware issue has been fixed by Microsoft for over a year. If you have a new model with the HMDI out, red ring won't happen. They say the PS3 actually has MORE hardware failures compared to PS3 since the fix.

With the new XBL update, you'll be able to stream your Netflix movies through the Xbox at no additional charge, including HD movies.

Jesus, I need to stay up on things! I guess my 360 might get some more playing time if that is the case.

I love my PS3, but indeed, I do deal a lot with the HD Netlflix movies.

i dunno about that. i've come across 2 360's with HDMI output and the upgraded heatsinks that had the rrod.

actually i just looked at them just now and their manufactured dates are both in late november of last year.

The newest chipset is supposedly coming out soon. This isn't the chipset that is in the elites. Not to mention MS has the 3 yr warranty on all consoles for RRoD, and in the 2 weeks it's gone you can get something useful done.

360 is better, xbox live owns ps3 online. Also, it has a billionz more games than ps3. Not to mention Gears of war 2 and Halo is exclusive to xbox. GOW is possibly the best shooter i have ever played as far as the campaign goes. Graphics are about the same, but the sports games are generally better on ps3 since all the xbox 360 has is EA and 2k sports.
