I was looking at buying a new grill and stuff on my old school F150...because it is chrome i was looking at a factory black one...but now i may go this look...im sorta wanting to do the chrome bumpers also...and bedrails....here's an easier way without having to mask every little piece of paint. It peels off around the emblems.DIY: How to BLACK OUT rear emblems in MINUTES - G35Driver
I plan on doing my grill and the chrome trim around my windows. Plastidip also serves as a primer. If you use it on your wheels, you dont have to sand because plastidip alone will adhere to your wheels. You can leave your wheels matte black or buy spray paint of any color and go over the plastidip afterwards. It turns out looking really nice and holds up. When you get tired of it, you can just peel it off and it will look like you never used it if you want to go back to the factory look.
