Planning Christmas Ski/Boarding Trip ~ Need Suggestions

snowbird is great..but honestly i think tahoe would be ur best bet..its great skiing, and also has great mountaions, i perosnally have never skied at squaw, but i did ski heavenly for 4 dyas and i gotta tell u, it was great powder, great views and a decent terrain park, some other grweat fetures about taho are...

------its on the state line betwe cali and nevade and therefore on envada's side you can go gambling at casinos //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

------their are are ac ouple other ski places with in an hours drive of aroudn the lake that you can go skiing at

------you can go do seminars at marriots for free lift tickets to heavenly..jsut ask ur concierge...as for utah its a good city, but tahoe definitely packs the fun all into one:)//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i love Snowbasin for it's fast lift's and for how steep it is.

then powder mountains is big but not as steep, very loooong runs, and lots of places to go.

then wolf creek is a small beginners hill

haven't made it to alta or any other places, i Hope to make it to the canyons at park city at some time to do some boarding, but every time i go to park city it's usually for the night life.

park city ,snowbird ,solitude, alta, there all good ski resorts in utah like they say we've got the best snow on earth i would go to park city snow and night life and go and eat at the pizza pug on main street in park city great pizza
yes, and harry o's is a world famous night club that always has something going on.

Thanks Seth for all of the trailmaps!

So now I guess the question comes down to if I choose SLC, should I stay in Park City or Sandy. Just as an equivalance I priced out similar Marriott courtyards. The Park City room averaged about $220 / night and Sandy was $120 / night. Both would require a rental car as neither are ski in / ski out so I'm even there.

So for 7 nights in PC it would be about $700 more than Sandy for being about 15-20 min closer to 3 resorts and the town itself as opposed to the 4 Cottonwood resorts and whatever is around there.

Also for 1 of the days we wanted to take a day off are there any good snowmobile tours in the greater SLC, Ogden, Provo area?

ftw

Never been to Utah, but did 2 trips to tahoe this past year.

Though we didnt get any freshies, the snow was still pretty soft and found alot of untracked spots.

Did Heavenly for 3 days on one trip. Second trip we did Kirkwood, Heavenly, and Squaw.

Hoping i can get to Utah this year as i hear the snow is the best.
