Need some input from the skiing/boarding crowd here @ CA.com

As stated in the title I'm starting now to plan a ski trip over Christmas week (20-27th) and wanted some advice on where to book / stay.

I've narrowed it down to Tahoe or Salt Lake City in terms of general location. We did a Colorado trip last time based out of Breck and did Vail, Copper, Arapahoe, & Breck mountain. It was a nice town but would like something different this time.

New England is out due to the suckage snow and I think Whistler & Banff are out due to being too expensive. Jackson Hole, Sun Valley, and Taos are out due to limited options (e.g. the same mountain everyday).

So we arrive at Tahoe vs. SLC... I've been to Utah a few times as I have family there but never stayed in Park City or The Cottonwood Canyons area. I did really like Alta & Snowbird the best but not sure what it would be like to stay there.

Also never been to Tahoe but Heavenly & Squaw are on people's top lists. Any feedback on your past trips and where you stayed would be appreciated!

Also for the powder pron enthusiasts

Yeah I'd love to go to Europe for a skiing trip Zermatt, Kitzbuhel, St. Moritz, Chamonix would all be dream trips for me but you're looking at like $3-4K per person for that. For a group of 10, there's no way my family / friends could afford that.

Yeah we loved Breck.. Tons of cool restaraunts / Bars at night plus some cool places to shop on the main street. The only problem is that I got elevation sickness bad on our last trip and had to spend almost 2 days on oxygen in my hotel room while everyone else played...

I'm cool with skiing during the day @ 10 - 13 k feet but sleeping at that altitude fuks me up. I'm from FL so our sea level is like 0 so it hits me hard.

High Altitude sickness is the absolute worst man, i had that once when i went up to estes park, co stayed at home for a few days feeling like shit. You are good as long as you drink plenty of water for the most part.

I went to somewhere in Utah like 7-8 years back and the slopes were awesome. Had a lil bit of nightlife but not too great, but the snowboarding was awesome and the actual resort itself was great.

I live in New England and the only places I'll go boarding at are in the Berkshires and in Vermont(Bromley and Mad River Glen) are both favorites of mine.

park city ,snowbird ,solitude, alta, there all good ski resorts in utah like they say we've got the best snow on earth i would go to park city snow and night life and go and eat at the pizza pug on main street in park city great pizza

I loved tahoe, only got to go there once while i lived in cali. I boarded at a lot of other places in the sierras. Me and my dad are gonna take a trip out to the west coast this winter, we live in pa now.
