Placment of componets

Was wondering if I took out my eclispe 6x9" 3 ways out of my factory location in the rear of my cavalier and placed a set of MB quart 5 1/4" Dicus componets in it(customized that is) would it sound better than my coxials? I know alot of you dont like rear fill anyway but I do for some reason. Thanks

the 6x9's would probably give you more bass, if you have a sub, who cares about that. I run my rear fill bandpassed @ like 180hz or so. I understand what you mean about it though, it's nice to have the car full of sound. though I am gradually converting to a front stage only guy.

I would swap for the components... not sure I would highpass em at 180 though.... you're throwing them on an amp right? (you're looking to put you're old speakers in the back?)

The speakers I am talking about are in the back already. I want to swap out the 6x9's for the componets but I am afraid they might not sound as loud as the coxials. They will be running off a 4 channel clarion amp.

why wouldnt they be as loud as your coaxials? I'd keep the coax's if its just for rear fill but another set of comps might sound nice.

Oh I thought that you had Type X's for fronts.. my bad man. Yeah I would put some nicer round speakers in the back and ditch the ovals.

LOL I do have the x's in front. I want to put the new mb quart componet set in the back to help me with my high end to match the bass better.
