how do you go about getting insurance on equipment?

Call your car insurance company and request it - mine offers up to 5000 in coverage.

It's cheap... I think it added 10-20 a month on mine for 5k on the truck.

If it's stolen they'll ask for invoices, etc. My company asked for a description of the equipment when I got the insurance.

Yep, tell em you have after market audio equipment and you want insurance on it.

well with my insurance, i have ZA coverage, which covers up to $2500 on both my cars. i got it after they broke into my accord and stole my kicker kx700.5 amp. they said with this, anything aftermarket stolen, is covered up to $2500, and my deductible is $100.
