pioneer6800 with ipod

i know its ipod ready and all, but do i have to buy the cd-ib100 for my ipod to play out the system? or can i just plug it into the front of the unit?

you have to either get the ipod adapter (the cd-ib100) or get a 2 way auxillary cord from radioshack and plug it into the back of your headunit in the aux. input (it's obvious) and then run it somewhere you can have your ipod in hand and plug the other end into the headphone plug on your ipod. the adapter let's you play the ipod through the headunit. The aux. cord you control through the ipod.
