they maybe avail in the uk? or europe...

only problem you run into is the radio tuner is set for asian frequencies. dunno how big of a problem that is since most ppl who run this would be SQ oriented installs

If I'm not mistaken, Asian and European tuning frequencies are the same. They tune on every .1 MHz while we tune on every .2 MHz. It shouldn't matter. You'll have more fine tuning that you won't be able to use, but all the US stations will come in just fine.

if this deck even comes close to the p9 combo its a keeper..

As long as it's not from Japan it should be okay - rest of the world uses the same FM range, only the Japs are different

However the US uses different tuning steps, can't remember if FM is an issue but you can't use a US radio with AM tuning step outside of North America... having said that, my Pioneer has switchable tuning steps (whereas the US version does not have the option).

Check the unit's user manual and look at the specs for 1) FM band range and 2) FM and AM tuning step options.

If you don't listen to AM you might not care but then it could affect the unit's resale value as you'd have to point that out to the new buyer.
