Hi, I'd like to know from as many members as possible, if the Pioneer Dex-p99rs, all said and done .If it has the sound quality to put the alpine anniversary 7909 to rest .Or does it just have a bunch of features to help set it up, and the sound quality is not up to par with say the simplified plug and play alpine 7909. Would love to hear from everybody owning the pioneer Dex-p99rs to see if it is truly the best sound quality deck on the market, surpassing decks for SQ like the mccintosh 5000,clarion drz9255,clarion hx-d3,and nakamichi cd700,and denon Z1 for sound quality. If you can do only one comparison.I would like the sound quality of the alpine anniversary 7909 compared to the pioneer Dex-p99rs. Since I was thinking of retiring my alpine anniversary 7909 if the sound quality of the pioneer was that much better. Thanks to everyone who responded to this thread.I'm sure myself and others on these fine forums are eagerly awaiting any and all information on the pioneer Dex-p99rs and the sound quality and if it puts all other earlier decks to rest. Thanks to all.

The SQ will be near the pinnacle, but you also have to look at what else you get with it... Its on-board processor is incredible! It is 3 way front active plus sub... Its looks amazing, it has bluetooth (I believe) and iPod (USB) capabilities. It is anything you could ever need in a deck, not to mention it will play AAC Lossless files.

I would recommend a nice Denon or Alpine and use a processor...
P99rs isn't all that and a bag of chips

Definitely had an opinion lol

personally i use the pioneer 80prs. and a audison bit one processor, in both my cars, I had a chance to install and tune a 99prs.....it was a great head unit sound, looks etc...but for the same price....personally i choose my set up over it.
