they are great decks. i prefer the 860 because i think that the 960 display is ugly and it breaks alot. same exact features and specs, just different display.

that dual fold down display thing. that's why i like the 860 better

do they break right away.this is going in to a boat not alot of use as a car deck.

not sure how often. when i originally bought my 8600 i found some people having problems with that display.

i bought one. the motorized face was screwed the day it came in. bought the 860 after and thats what i have now. less moving parts = less possibility of broken parts.

u need an ipod adapter for it.
