I have been looking at this CD player for a few days and all I have gotten is good news....I am about to go out a buy it but not before I hear a few more things.....does it sound good...and is there anything much better? I have always loved Pioneer but will be willing to switch to something else if it is much better?

Well I am looking for mostly sound quality.....but something that looks good as well.....someone told me the Primier was better than Pioneer so I guess I will be refering to that from now on.....so do you have any suggestions on a HU?

I say DEFINATLY go for the 940MP if you have the cash...I've wanted that deck for so long...the 6V pre-outs are what I like on it and the customizible screen savers and pics...very cool, if you find one for under like 500 go for it...anything just around 500 (like 20) is a very good price...you have to look on the net though. If you want more help just IM me on my names below.

The 9400MP and 940MP are both H/U's I would choose.

They have a lot of EQ capabilities and nice displays.

The Premier 940MP has higher 6v pre-outs. Although the 4v pre-outs on the 9400MP would be plenty for great SQ.

I also like the Alpine 9813 and 9815. Very cool H/U's.

What are you deciding on? If you get the 9400 or 940, tell me where you got it, how much, and how good the service was...I still REALLY want one of those...nicest HU on the market for my wants/needs IMO.

and if it is worth it to you, go with the Premieer because of the increased voltage out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Awesome head unit. Love it.

the best aprt of upgrading to teh Premier is the higher quality components (no cheap plastic, real aluminum) and the extended warranty... good idea with anything as complex as a head unit...

Getting the Premier is usually only $10-20 more. So I say why not?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

I personally dont like that model. to me it doesnt make any sense to have a multi color OEL display, and have something that moterizes down and takes up more space out there, to reveal it, and have a crappy lookin sub display in the closed position. Why not have the OEL display visible all the time? Like the DEH-P860MP.

Oh, and yes, Premier (thats the acual spelling) is better then the regualar brand of Pioneer, and it comes with a 2 year warrenty instead of a 1 year.
