Pioneer DEH-P5100UB Ipod trouble

I can use the Ipod controls on the deck fine, but when I try to switch it over to use the Ipod to control what it plays it doesn't do it....any suggestions?

You using it through usb? If so it wont let you control it that way, it simply uses the ipod as a mass storage device.

sum ipods are not compatible wit this feature...some video ipods...30gigs+

exactly!! couldnt come up wit the rite words...although some smaller ipod nanos do wrk wit this feature
