I am getting a Pioneer DEH-P4400 head unit along with a pair of Pioneer TS-G1647 6.5" speakers a pair into my door panels.

does anyone think this will be a good setup? It's an '86 Honda Civic DX 2DR hatchback car and right now it has some shitty 3" speakers in it made by sony and the radio is busted.

Well You Will Need A Amp To Power The Door Speakers Cause I Had 2 Pairs Of Top Quility Blau's Speakers And 2 Are All ready Blown From Underdriving

Funny you mention it- I just installed a pair of those exact speakers for my sister about a week ago. She has been quite happy with them. I personally have never had much of a problem with Pioneer. They seem to make quality components for a decent price.

Underpowering will not damage your speakers. Only the person on the end of the volume and Bass/Treble controls can accomplish this. This discussion has come up several times allready on this forum. Run a search for it if you would like a little more info on that matter. While an amp would only benefit your speakers, it is not neccessary right away. Install everything, have a listen, and take it from there! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
