I just bought one of these, its an amazing radio but i can't seem to get it to the right settings. i have a kicker L7 that is very very loud and my sub setting is fine. I can't get the vocals to sound right i dont know why. i got my high pass filters on like -12 and 200hz. i just can't get it to sound right?

any help?

thats the high pass for the front speakers right? and you might wanna put it down to about 80 or 100 and see how that sounds. or maybe your sub is just overpowering your front stage and you need to invest in better speakers and amplify them.

I have the Premier version of this deck and set my settings are as follows:

High Pass Filter at 100 with the slope at 6

Low Pass Filter at 80 with slope of 12

Then I am an eq setting that is slightly less bass and high end than the powerfull and it all mixes pretty good. Very clean.

Check also that the level of speakers is zero and not in the negative. You may have inadvertently turned the speakers down on your front sound stage through the high pass filter settings.

How can i check the level of my speakers?

Under the audio setting, turn to the High Pass Filter Frequency setting where you had set to 200 (and we suggested 80 or 100.) Instead of pushing left to right to change the frequency push the Rotary Knob up or down to set the speaker level. Be sure to push up so that the level is set to zero which is max. Everything else turns the speakers down. (I think the function is usefull if you want to turn the back speakers down without having to adjust the rear channell gains on your amp.)

Ok well heres the thing. i thought that if u put the high pass filter on like 80 that means anything about 80 will come thru the speakers. now i only want treble coming out of all4 speakers because i already have plenty and mroe then enuff bass coming from my sub.

the speaker level ur talking about the thing that goes from 0 till like -24 right?

if so its on -12 now, and ur telling me turn it down more so the speakers will be louder?

anyone there?

i played with all the settings and put my speaker levels to 0 and like when the bass hits in a song it still comes out the speakers and i cant get it to go away. i dont want any bass at all coming thru the 4 speakers. i dont need the bass from there all i need it from is my sub?
