For those of you that have this HU does your faceplate open up after you shut your vehicle off? Mine does anyone know what it could be?

Yes mine does. It does that to remind you to remove the faceplate. You can turn it on or off. Just shut of the hu then click in the multicontrol and hold till a menu comes up then scroll through.

thanks, i had a sneaking suspicion that's why it was doing it but wasn't 100%. i didn't know if i had something hooked up wrong.

I have a stock volt meter on my dash and my hu usually says the exact same thing as the dash. But that tachometer on the 7800 is not very accurate atleast for me. Not that it really matters.
