I would like to run an i pod through my HU when i get it installed. do i have to buy any connectors for it before i Install the HU?

I just installed one one my 7800 and it is really nice. All of the ipod menus are transfered to you h/u and you control everything from you multi-control knob. Another nice thing about it is that it charges you ipod while you plugged in.

yea i have the same deck with the adapter too..but the problem is that its slow and when ever you do a search its goes back to the begining of the list--

Is this a problem with all the pioneers being slow, because I was thinking on getting a P-880-PRS veruses the Alpine and kenwood . What is making me lean towards the pioneer is the EQ and the 5v outputs. IPOD will be a big factor for me though.

mine isnt really slow. Maybe a teeny bit slower than loading a CD and skipping through songs. Mine ussually takes the longest when i first plug the ipod in.

I just installed the 880 and ipod adapter and I love it. It does take a half second or so for all the playlists/songs to load on the HU, but it's no problem at all for me. The remote is good and responsive, and the SQ is great. There are a lot of audio adjustments to play with. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
