I can break these cuffs
I bought a Pioneer DEH-5900iB and was just wondering if anyone has experience with it and how it is.
**** dude thats pretty funny right there...you had my old head unit, new head unit, comps... and the hifonics thats hilarious. sounds like you more of a SQ kind of guy im more so SPL. Im kind of wishing that I didnt buy the 1606d, and I would have saved the extra money to get a I.A 20.1 or Orion 2500D. I plan to get 2 of the Orion 2500D's along with either buying another 15 kicker, or selling the kicker and getting 2 BTL 18 inch woofers...that is when I get a bigger car because I cant fit anything bigger than the 5 cubes in my civic right nowfunny kris. me and u have had alot of the same stuff haha. same HU (before i fried it and got a new one), same comps, was gonna get an L7 15 but im getting 2 10" eclipse subs (fell in love with them after they demo'd them for me at the audio shop during an installl) getting a custom sealed box for it, made specifically for those subs. he was running 500w per sub and was in the 135db range, with a sealed trunk. all metal between the seats. my seats go down.. so itll be louder. they sound so crisp and clean... get them tuesday yay. and im also going to power it with a 1606d lol..... just like u my niggga
Yeah its hard to get loud with sealed, unless you have alot of subs, the right subs(which can be pricey) and the right box/install. it can be done if you plan everything accordingly which it seems like youve done. I know what you mean about the loud/flabby bass, im just a fan of getting some hardcore bass that makes the back of my hair raise up, I guess its a thrill for me.yep im an SQ guy. i want it to be pretty loud buy sound crisp and clean. and these eclipse do. i also saw a customers car.. he had 2 12" l5's, i belive the 03's. the all black ones. each sub was powered by a directed 600d. metered it at 142.x when i was there. but it wasnt fully tuned yet. it was loud.. but... kind of, eh... how can i explain. flabby... alot of bass, but u know how ported boxes are. they get u alot louder than sealed, but im going sealed for nice clean, TIGHT bass response. not boomy and flabby. althought i was impressed.... he useda prefab kicker box with the 6" aero port on the side. it was ****ing LOUD. but to loose for me. im going to see if he can hold 2 more of these subs for me. run 4 of them. 1 amp per 2 subs. should be decently loud. i wanna break 140's -- i hear its hard to break 140's sealed. but the car he demod did around 135 sealed with 2 of the eclipse tens, with a completely sealed trunk. so mine should be alot louder.
