Hi,

I'm a first time poster. I just recently replaced my Kenwood Excelon KRC-X858 (I'll miss the motorized faceplate big time) with a Pioneer DEH-4300UB. I was planning a bigger install (equalizer, 12" Cerwin Vegas, 2 amps, etc.) but I got tired of driving w/out music, so it'll have to wait a week or two..

question-I have no REAR outputs from this thing. Basically the fader doesn't work, only front speakers. There's a setting since this unit has 2 RCA outs, and one can be switched between a regular rear out, or a sub out. The rear speaker out wires can drive a sub w/o an amp, or just the reg. speakers. The factory setting was to have the regular 4 speakers working, but they clearly are not. When I change the setting to remove the SW, I still don't have rear sound.

From reading posts on the internet, lots of people experiencing the same thing with Pioneer. Is it just a problem with the user interface on this brand?

The settings must be off, or just maybe, this unit is bad. But I've read EVERYTHING at least 3x, and I'm no novice to installing/car stereos, but I'm just about losing my mind. Any help would be appreciated.
