Pioneer AVH-P6500DVD Error 02, need help

hey, i just bought a AVH-P6500DVD from some kid because he bought a new head unit because it came up with the "Error 02" Message, the CD is stuck in it and it will not come out. When you press eject i believe it like shuts off. Anyone else out there have the problem, unfortunately the unit is no longer hooked up so i cannot try anything else unless i hook it to a battery. Should i send it in? if so to who? are those guys on ebay that do it any good? let me know, thanks

Send it in. I had the same problem with the cd and the error02 (at different times though). If you do send it in, be prepared to wait a while. Did it play at all when it was hooked up? My error 02 was caused by the lens being out of alignment, not sure what caused the cd to get stuck. Took 52 days for mine to get fixed and back to me.

that is a long time, how much did it cost? and who did you send it to? I'm thinkin about doin one of the ebay guys for $120

It didnt cost anything, it was still under warranty, they sent me how much it would have cost but I really dont remember how much it was, I wasnt paying attention. If you call pioneer theyll tell you over the phone a flat rate. I sent it straight to pioneer, and the second or third time I sent it to them they sent it to a place to fix it that they said was down the street from them.

ok well this one is def out of warranty so i would have to pay, will prob call on monday or something but i cant wait like 52 days, so im gonna keep looking, thanks

come on i need help, i see that error 02 is "dirty disc" but i cant get the disc out, any ideas?
