I just got finished installing a pioneer avh-p6000dvd last week and i installed a CD-IB100II and blue tooth hookup. The CD-IB100II doesn't show the avh-p6000dvd as a supported head unit but it works in every way except in playing the music from my ipod. When i connect my ipod the pioneer logo shows up on it and the HU displays the ipod present with all the song info and playback time. The HU shows that the song is playing and time is passing in the song but NO music comes out. Online stereo says that it should work with the 6000dvd

iPod Adapter Ready with Enhanced Touch-Panel Interface (Optional adapter CD-IB100II or CD-IB100 required)

also a review on sonixelectronics says

"This product works well with my Pioneer AVH-P6000DVD. The interface controls are nice and on my specific implementation the controls work pretty quickly. Good buy!"

This is the ipod adapter

pioneer also just said that any HU with avh-p****** should work with the adapter.

make sure that the bus cord (big black cord) is plugged into the right slot on the CD-ib100 box. Theres and input and an output plug (one is blue and one is black in the picture above). If yer plugged into the wrong slot, it will display songs, show them playing, etc etc, but will not produce noise.

yes i have already made sure that the plug was in the right slot. Didnt help.
hmm that was my problem when i had it. you may want to try to switch to the other plug just to see what happens

also, there is an ipod sound level option on your pioneer unit (i dont remember what it called, but it is a separate variable volume control for the ipod only, to boost the signal). Make sure thats set accordingly (not low)

oh ya i remember looking into that menu. (SLA) in the audio menu. Ill check to see if its balanced for the ipod.
