Pioneer avh-p1400 install in a 2004 silverado 2500HD

Hey guys im having a hell of a time hooking up my new hu with the bypass. I got everything to turn on except i cant get the player to shut off when i shut the truck off. I have the ignition(Red) and battery(yellow) all wired together for it to work. Has anybody else had this problem?? So what i need help with is getting it to power off when the truck is off and how to install the bypass ( bought off ebay, with green,blue and back wire). Thanks

I feel like this may be a pretty dumb response, but does it shut off when you open the door?

it sounds like you have a fuse blown so check your fuses because you should be able to hook yellow to yellow and red to red but as far as turning it off that could also be the problem is the red and yellow hooked up the same because the yellow constantly sends a little bit of power to it so try rewiring it and as far as the bypass hook the black to your ground your green to your ebrake it looks like a nav reciever if it is green will go to your ebrake and blue to your amp turn on wire pm me if you need further explanation

wire it up correctly, you have you acc and pwr wires wired together. ground the handbreak wire

With the bypass just connect the green parking brake wire from the hu to the green wire on the bypass and the blue to remote and black to the ground wire.

why is this bypass needed?

Without using a radio interface module you will have to run a new acc wire for it to turn off with the key
