Pioneer AVH-A205BT

In 2016, I purchased a Pioneer Double DIN AVH-A205BT unit to fit into my Toyota RAV-4. Recently, I decided to add a reverse camera to this unit only to find the reverse camera function does not work at all. I have reset the unit, tried various camera's still to no avail. I then started looking for a firmware update for this unit only to find this unit is not supported in firmware updates. Most models except.......

I must say I'm disappointed to say the least. It was a reasonably expensive unit when purchased and I've always held Pioneer in high esteem. Well, not any more...
What disappoints me even more is that this model is still available for sale in many auto retail stores.

A valuable lesson learnt here.

Before purchasing a head unit, research the make / model and determine if there is support for the unit available PRIOR to purchase.
