does this unit have an external brain that i am going to have to mount somewhere else in my car or is just one brain that gos inside of the dash like normal head units? thanks

the avh6600 has an external brain...your radio tuner including antenna jack and aux inputs are located in the brain box...it reguires two sets of din type cables
