Pioneer AVH-4200NEX Android appradio question.

When I use Google Assistant to make a call, it says that it's calling so and so. But then, I don't hear anything. I have to disconnect the USB cable to hear the other end of the phone call. Same goes when I get a text message. I click on play text message, but I don't hear anything. Then, it asks if I want to reply. It's been doing this for a while. It was working fine, before. Everything else seems to work fine with the AppRadio. I have made sure my phone, the app and the head unit are all up to date. Has anybody had the same or similar experiences and any idea of what the issue can be? I have contacted Pioneer, But they didn't get back to me. Which I'm disappointed with them, because they have always been helpful in the past.
