Pioneer AVH 2440 NEX remote help

Hey guys. Relatively new owner... One week or so... Is it normal to not be able to navigate the system menu with the included remote? Is there something else I must do? It's a real pain to be leaning over pressing the deck while driving.

i came from the avh-x4500bt to the ahv-2300nex and have found navigating the menus to be far less intuitive on the new one. Ive enver tried using the remote, but it wouldnt shock me if it didnt allow menu navigation

Ya reaching over to play with buttons on the unit is not good. If you don't have steering wheel controls, then you could get some blutooth ones that you can stick on your steering wheel.
