Kenwood DDX6705s shutting off at high vol.

I just had it installed at BB. Dont want to go back looking dumb. I had them run deck power to factory 6.5'' rear speakers. At vol level 30 or higher the unit shuts down and restarts. Ive never had that happen with any other HU. Is this normal? The subs and front speakers are run off amps and can still handle some more vol level. I was talked into kenwood by a few people, was that a mistake? It sounds great but I cant have it shutting down on me.

The Kenwood DDX's are one of the best headunits you can buy.

Your first problem is having Best Buy install it.

Sounds like a ground problem, or other wiring issue. Take it back to them and have them check the install.

Long story but here goes.. I bought a qled tv from them and they have a service plan that covers all kinds of stuff so basically saved 1/2 the install cost with the plan and i still have it for the rest of the year. Second, their arent any good rated install places around here or their expensive and booked. I bought the HU from them and it included install for the price, $399. The install looks perfect and sounds amazing, just that 1 issue. I installed a similar system in my old truck myself. I dont have the time and didnt want to wait. I paid $374 for dynamat in the front doors and the system in my sig installed with all the wiring included in the price.

agree with the potential ground issue. bb isnt known for going out of their way to ensure quality basic deck installs. i ran a ground from the head to the chassis in my car
