"Pink" is a former band member from WAY back.

no. the character pink in the wall is loosely based on syd barrett, their original singer/songwriter/guitarist. he took way too many hard drugs and went insane, and after he became unable to continue to perform with them due to insanity, he was replaced with a friend of his, david gilmore.

my favorite floyd album was dark side of the moon... and its still a great album, i've just heard it so many times it just doesnt have all of the magic it used to have for me. animals is my favorite now. i dont really dig many of the other songs on meddle, but i LOVE echoes, the 20 minute song that finishes out meddle.

atom heart mother is different... they were still trying to find their sound after losing syd, but before meddle started to shape it, and everything fell into place with DSOTM a couple years later. it still has some great pieces on it... all of the recordings of it i've heard have had terrible sound quality though.

I have listened to all of the cd's numerous times and my favorite changes from year to year. Greatest collection of dance hits......is a good one also.

The first DSOTM on CD....the original Japanese Bear CD (considered the best CD version ever made), the 30th anniversary 5.1 ch. SACD, a live version, and a limited edition Mobile Fidelity 24k gold Original Master Recording CD.

but honestly...when i was trippin on four hits once i listened to the whole dark side of the moon album and it all seemed like idk i cant explain lol but it was awesome...i think everyone should try acid at least once in their lifetime to appreciate the little things more

I have the SACD as well, i love listening to it in my room via my HT

I do too.

I bought a Sony 5 disc SACD/DVD player a few years back just to be able to play the 5.1 channels of SACD on that disc. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

(Its a great DVD player which I ended up needing anyway.)
