Sprint Blackberry 8330 people using it as a modem..come here

I have the crackberry Curve 8330 on the Simply Everything BKB plan. Want to use this as my modem for my laptop. Does it work well for you? and it should fall under my current plan with no extra charges I would assume?

I don't have the actual phone, but from what I've been told, Sprint is not a big fan of ppl doing that has but data services off because of it. However, go post at sprintusers.com, not here. You'll more educated answers.

sprint.com/dl is where you can download the software on your computer so it could be hooked up to your blackberry's internet..

done that when I had my 8330, but sold it and got me an iphone..

it is a nice feature that i miss while having my 8330

Sprint doesn't seem to care as long as you don't abuse the feature. Try searching for a program called PdaNet. It'll hide the data charges from Sprint. I use it all the time.

You can set it up through dial-up networking you do not need any additional software. I don't have Sprint anymore but use T-Mobile now and never had a problem with either company.

'Unlimited' Blackberry is just that, use it all you want. I have used it for two weeks straight when we were waiting for cable to be installed in our new house. I would compare it to a slow DSL line as far as speed.

Uhh...

Sprint can't tell if you're using a computer to access your internet... not to mention, you'd be using the internet one way or another... that's why you pay for it.

i have a mogul with sprint. Whenever I'm on trips or away from my desktop I always use data plan with sprint and never have any problems.

Just an FYI. Since you mentioned you have a "crackberry" you know there is a whole "crackberry" forum correct? Which would probably be a lot more useful, if you didn't know it existed.

i has a palm and im using it to connect my comp to the interwebz now using pdanet
