pimp my ride had the jackhammer.. Where did they get the DB meter they put in the car

hey thank you for everyone that defended me. I've been on many other forums for over 6 years and to join a forum and get flamed right away didn't make me want to stay very long. Thanks again to the people that got what I wanted and why. I don't want my wifes hearing to be damaged. I think I'll give this place another try.

For a small little rant...

Over the years I did car audio tours in my town I noticed how RUDE people in car audio can be. I do know some of this is due to the security related issues with showing people your system. But online I don't think the same rudeness should apply when people are asking for your help. If you don't have the answer or have seen the question 1000's of times then I just don't look at the post. I posted my question because I was in a hurry. We just got married on the 6th and had lots to do before then. The system is a wedding gift from me to here because she loves to sing and I figure we can use it at family pick nicks.

Just think about what you say to people and be considerate. I used to be a total ******* for a long long time but then I saw the light so to speak. It took a family member dieing to see how short life is and how much respect people deserve. Some people can't or won't do that because they either have some growing up to do or have problems of there own they can't deal with and take it out on others.

rant off.. thanks again everyone.

I know. I'm a firearms instructor. best pistol ever made period. The 23 is really good if you have small size 7 hands like I do. It's very very easy to use with CCW.

So does anybody actually know how to do it?

There are many options for decibel meters, but the question is how do you make one turn on a light, trigger a relay, or whatever he needs for his warning at a certain decibel level.

Have to remember that frequency also affects ear sensitivity, not just sound pressure. I'm sure that I've lost hearing in the low frequency range, but I don't have a problem hearing everyday conversations.
