YES precisly tape deck is because if you put a c.d. player in it will make the computer malfunction i learned that from my uncle HE HAS A 2006 ESCALADE and also works for GMC.

the ride aint that bad on 22's just doesnt turn to well. i got pictues of mine when it had 22 inch spokes on it. check out my photo bucket. and i didnt have no problem at all puttin a whole aftermarket system in mine. and mine was newer than a 96 too. you *******.
