Vibration. The wire will vibrate against the stationary stud, eat through the jacket and start breaking strands. You just need to reroute it away from there.

It's the same reason you use a grommet going through the firewall or any other hole really. The firewall doesn't move, but the cables/wires will and eventually it'll eat through the insulation so you use a grommet to prevent that.

Nice attitude, enjoy the chewed up insulation the could be prevented by 2 minutes of work to finish an otherwise great job.

that wire isnt gunna move. its going to vibrate WITH the car, not against it.
