He summed it up right there on how to get the emblems off. Be sure to heat the emblems first, but dont hold the heat gun in one spot too long or get too close or you could end up damaging your paint. Also MAKE SURE the adhesive has soften up enough before you peel it off. I failed to do so and I had to repaint my whole tailgate, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing because its a lot nicer and only cost me $20.all the ford emblems ive took off (not ur year truck but to give u an idea) always had like a 3/8" hole where it was to align it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif So watch out for it. To take emblems off i use a metal bondo spreader. Cost me like $6 for 3 of them at the local supply store. Then i use an eraser wheel or an adhesive remover to take the remaining glue off.
and wheels are alright..
But thats about it on getting the emblems off. Your truck looks fine the way it is, you can't take some people here seriously. Most here are not even here for car audio, just to shit on other peoples threads.
I would definately go ahead and do the black grille. As far as painting the bumpers, eh I like chrome...naturally too much of it is a bad thing but not on your truck. Its clean, classy, not too outrageous. Just a nice truck that anyone would like to have. Keep it up and post more pics when you get the grille done //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
